Mott MacDonald was designer for consortium of international
contractor for Delhi Metro Contract MC1B, which involves detailed
architectural, structural, E&M and HVAC design of 6 underground
stations - central secretariat to Delhi main stations - and 6.6km
tunnels on line 2, which won the 2005 International Project of the
Year, British Tunnelling Industry Award.
We are responsible for detailed architectural,
structural, E&M and HVAC design of six underground stations for
Delhi MetroWe are responsible for detailed structural design
of Underground Stations at Udyog Bhawan & Link Tunnel and
Underground Stations at Green Park & Tunnel on both side of
station by Cut & Cover Method on Central Secretariat-Qutub
Minar Corridor of Phase II of Delhi MRTS
We were contracted by DMRC to carry out architectural, electrical
and mechanical services for twelve elevated and four underground
stations on Central Secretariat to Badarpur corridor of Delhi MRTS.
We are also preparing the detailed project report for Sarita Vihar
Metro Depot on Central Secretariat to Badarpur corridor of Delhi
MRTS.
Mott MacDonald is empanelled with Railway Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL)
and working on the strengthening of a key link of the railway
system in north-west India.
We are working for Ministry of Railways and are preparing master
plan for Redevelopment of Patna railway station
We are carrying out detailed design of the 4th line, 34kms doubling
from Junction Cabin (Tuqlakabad) to Palwal in Haryana, for Northern
Railways executed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Scope
includes design of permanent way (track, ballast), signalling and
telecommunication, electrical works (general and OHE) and related
civil engineering works (bridges, buildings, platforms, platform
shelters, Foot Over Bridges).
Mott MacDonald India is also involved in proof checking of detailed
designs of the 3rd line from Palwal to Bhuteshwar (86kms) for North
Central Railway executed by RVNL.
Highways
Mott MacDonald is working extensively on improving India’s highway
infrastructure, focussing on assignments for respected clients,
particularly the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
Activities in this sector include design, tender preparation and
construction supervision, for urban, inter-urban and industrial
estate road systems.
Mott MacDonald rendered Techno – Economic Feasibility
Study of Ring Road around Ludhiana City Mott MacDonald in
India has been instrumental in the preparation of detailed project
reports in many key projects of National Highways Authority of
India (NHAI), having designed/ designing 386kms, 2/4 lane on NH-7,
NH-5&NH-9, NH-91, NH-10 and NH-86, including highway bridges of
2kms over Krishna River and 550m over Pennar River.
Additionally, we have prepared a feasibility study of Ring Road in
Ludhiana (62kms, 4/6 lane) for Punjab Industrial Development Board
(PIDB) - to be developed on BOT basis - and preparation of a
detailed project report of 35kms of Urban Road in Kanpur for Kanpur
Development Authority. We are working on two major construction
supervision of National Highways (with a total length of 145kms, 2/
4 lanes).
Staff members from our India offices have also participated in Mott
MacDonald’s projects globally, particularly in Ireland and UK.
Airports and ports
Port development and connectivity are priority areas for the
strengthening of India’s infrastructure. Mott MacDonald has been
engaged in development planning of with respect to major airports
of India – New Delhi and Mumbai. We have been appointed by Delhi
International Airport Pvt Ltd as their Lead Technical Advisor for
preparation of Master Plan and preliminary design for the proposed
development of 21sqkm of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New
Delhi to handle a passenger capacity of 80 million ppa by 2025.
We have significantly contributed to the land side master planning,
other allied services of master plan and flood modelling of
Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai while working for
Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd and Sikkim Airport.
We are well equipped to support the planning, design and
implementation of India’s rapid expansion in air
transportation.
