Synthetic fibre projects
Mott MacDonald India has been associated with a number of synthetic
fibre manufacturing facilities. Many of these plants have been
designed to manufacture polyester chips having capacities up to
1200 TPD. We have experience also in setting up POY Plant having
capacities up to 300 TPD. Garden Vareli, one of India’s leading
plants is designed by us. Apart from these, we have worked for
Gupta Synthetics, Pioneer Embroideries Limited, Nova
Petrochemicals, JBF Industries Limited and a number of other
reputed clients. Our services included architectural and
civil/structural and in many cases engineered utilities, air
conditioning and humidification components of the projects. As an
integral part of few projects, we have also associated ourselves
with poly-condensation plants.
Acrylic Fibre Plant of Pasupati Acrylon
Limited, Uttar Pradesh
Nakoda polyester facility, Gujarat
Nakoda Limited is one of the largest manufacturers of polyester
yarn and has been processing fully drawn yarn (FDY), partially
oriented yarn (POY) and textured yarn for a number of years. The
INR 500million investment will see Nakoda manufacture additional
specialty products, allowing them to produce the entire range of
polyester yarns, and will see its Nakoda increase spinning capacity
from 100,000 tonnes per year to 140,000T for the domestic and
international markets. We are detailed design engineer for the
plant expansion, which includes all architecture, civil and
structural, mechanical and electrical, plumbing, process and
instrumentation aspects. The design includes heat recovery systems
from gas turbine exhausts which will run vapour absorption machines
(VAM) for air conditioning. This will also reduce heat created from
the production of textile fibre by direct molten transfer from
continuous polymerisation (CP) to POY facility.
Synthetic fibre projects for Nova Petrochemicals,
Gujarat
Mott MacDonald provided design and detailed engineering services
for two POY plants and one captive power plant during various
expansion phases of Nova Petrochemicals.
Yarn manufacturing plant expansion, Surat, Gujarat
Mott MacDonald provided design and procurement services for a
spinning plant consisting of three lines of POY and FDY having a
denier range of 30-100 DEN. The project involved direct spinning
from the existing poly condensation plant.
Bhilosa 500 TPD captive power plant, Silvassa
The project called for an expansion of 500 TPD captive power plant
encompassing offsite utilities. Mott MacDonald provided detailed
engineering services.
36 TPD dope dye polyester filament yarns plant, Kalamb,
Himachal Pradesh
Mott MacDonald provided detailed design engineering services for a
Greenfield project located at Kalamb in the state of Himachal
Pradesh aimed to set up special grade POY plant for embroidery
thread production.
POY and captive power plant, Surat, Gujarat
Mott MacDonald provided engineering, procurement assistance and
construction management services for the Greenfield 400 TPD
polycondensation and spinning plant. The project also included 16
MW gas based co-generation power plant.
150 TPD continuous polycondensation chips plant, Nasik,
Maharashtra
Mott MacDonald provided complete design engineering services for
polycondensation plant facility. This was a Brownfield project for
a 150 TPD polycondensation polyester chip producing plant located
at Nasik in the state of Maharashtra.
Conjugate fibre plant, Hoshiarpur, Punjab
Mott MacDonald provided complete design engineering services for a
Brownfield conjugate fibre plant located at Hoshiarpur in the state
of Punjab. We also assisted client Apollo Fibres in procurement
assistance and project management.
Textile park design, Gujarat
Mott MacDonald provided detailed engineering services for a
Greenfield project located at Santej in the state of Gujarat.
