Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Hindustan Petroleum
Corporation Limited (HPCL) to provide full consultancy services for
a development of petroleum, oil and lubricant (POL) terminals at a
new green-field marketing installation at Visakhapatnam in India on
the coastal belt of the Bay of Bengal.
Mott MacDonald’s oil, gas and petrochemical professionals will
provide consultancy services throughout the project from the
conceptual stage through to handing over the entire facility to
HPCL. This will include design, engineering, procurement, project
and construction management services.
The POL terminals will consist of facilities to receive and
transport white and black oil products with full terminal
automation and communication facilities. This will include
providing evacuation pipelines for both black and white oil
products from the nearby Visakh Refinery to adjacent storage tank
farms, product loading gantries with rail wagons as well as road
tanker loading jetty pipelines, along with integrated off-sites and
utilities, non-plant buildings, telecommunications and green belt
development.
