With our size and global reach, Mott MacDonald’s
presence and activities can have significant local impact. We want
to make that impact positive
As a world-leading consultancy, Mott MacDonald is committed to
acting ethically and responsibly, promoting the sustainability of
our environment and supporting local and global communities.
Since 2007 we have been reporting annually on our performance,
helping us evaluate strengths and identify areas for improvement.
Our latest Corporate Responsibility Report sets out how we seek to
care for our customers, our staff, the communities among which we
work and our local and global environments in order to sustain a
robust and healthy business.
Among the headlines detailed in our report:
- We improved our customer satisfaction rating, up to 83%
- Our projects and people won over 100 awards in 2008 –
recognition of our professional excellence
- An independent poll of nearly 2000 staff saw us reach fifth
place in the UK Sunday Times’ Best Big Companies to Work For league
table – up from eighth in 2008 and 11th in 2007
- Our overall accident rate fell by 10% and our reporting of near
misses rose 30%, reflecting improved awareness
- Increased scope and accuracy in our carbon measurement showed a
3% fall in emissions per employee in 2008, even with our campaign
only getting under way mid-year
- Our Community Support Programme now covers three projects as
part of our expanding engagement with charitable, development,
relief and community organisations
We endeavour to use our size and diversity to make a difference not
only through our behaviour – driven by the values and principles we
strive to live by and the processes we have in place to help – but
also through our projects. So we continue to dedicate resources and
talent to advancing understanding and best practice to achieve the
most integrated, sustainable and effective solutions.
